It's not really that complicated. There a lot of helpful tutorials on you tube that go over deck organization, how to change deck settings (new cards per day ect...), "tagging" cards with what lecture/subject they belong to and using image occlusion (the add on that allows you to screen shot a picture from your anatomy text and quiz yourself on structures). If you understand these things, I think you're in good shape. Personally, I've found Anki VERY helpful for anything that involves route memorization (so far anatomy, radiology and neuro structures). I have not used it as much for lecture material.

You should definitely be relaxing before M1 starts, because things will get frantic fast.

But if you want to casually introduce yourself to Anki, I would recommend either medical etymology (you can get a good book at the library or just search online for large databases of prefixes/suffixes/roots) or basic anatomy (not Netter, but a very abridged book, so you can learn image occlusion).
