Many schools separate it so the person reading your essays won't necessarily be the person who read your ECs. Your application should have a coherent narrative about you, your goals, your interests, and your abilities. It's okay if you are a multifaceted person!
Maybe do 1 of your MM on research and then the other 2 on service/clinical work?
