I'm scheduled in less than 2 weeks, and im freaking out like no other. I'm currently practicing gen chem. I finished chad's videos and bought both qvault and bootcamp. What worries me is the QR section. I looked at the destroyer and it crushed me. I cannot seem to grasp anything. So basically, i have not practiced math/ochem yet. How should i set my schedule for the next 2 weeks? I need a full breakdown please!!!

keep practicing math destroyer and try to grasp as much as possible. if you have other subjects down spend the next 2 weeks on math and orgo. (half day math and half day orgo). you can set aside about 2 hours every night to review bio/GC

Do how many problems you need to do in order to finish QR on the Destroyer in 7 days. I think you may have to do at least 40 problems a day? Do as many as possible. Do you have Math Destroyer? If you do, then you are short on time, so you have to keep yourself in a tight schedule. So first, do everything on the Destroyer QR section and learn everything you need to learn. If you are having trouble, you may have to do all of that again one more time. Then, do math destroyer (if you have it) or bootcamp 2 tests a day for the next 7 days.

For ochem, same thing. First, see how many tests / problem sets you have available. What I would do is I multiply that by two, because I want to do them twice to make sure I learn it 100%. It helps! Then divide that by how many days I have left, to calculate how many I have to do per day.

If you feel like that's too much, that's okay, don't panic. Don't be stressed. Just do as much as you can and don't lose concentration! Start from the basics and learn one thing after another. You can do it!

Destroyer is supposed to be much harder, so do not let that discourage you. After you take each test go back and review everything- both the wrong and right answers. Then with the answers you don't understand write them on notecards and review the notecards everyday.

Thank you guys! When i went through chad's videos, he said there might not be a square root option on the online calculator for QR. Is that true? Also, is it true that the calculator has a one second delay between each entry? How helpful is it and how much should i rely on it?

My calculator had a square root function on it. Just make sure to enter your numbers one by one without clicking buttons all at once! Mine had a slight delay but not enough to slow me down.

There is a sqrt button on the calculator. Yes, the calculator is very slow.

I bought Bootcamp, The Gold standard QR book, Chad, and Destroyer. Which one of these comes close to the real thing for QR??

Practice Ochem and Genchem. Those are the best ways to bring up your score IMO. Don't slack on Bio and make sure you cover a lot.
I am horrible in the Chems. Like, when AADSAS calculcated my Chem GPA I was appalled, but I did pretty decent on my real exam. Keep using Chads. And supplement with Destroyer

Oh, and DAT Bootcamp. Best gauge ever. Seriously, buy all the tests. It's worth the money, and its not even expensive.

And Bio, Use Feralis Notes. And Cliffs.

QR isn't tooooo bad. Yes, Destroyer is like overkill, but it's so representative of the real exam. The questions are like the same. But easier. I say definitely do 10 tests of Destroyer and make sure you know how to solve them. So when the real DAT is in front of you, and you see the same questions you will know how to solve it.

Hope this helps!

I took mine 10 days ago and from what I had, I can definitely tell you that the g-chem and o-chem sections were much easier on the actual DAT that what the destroyer has. I was pretty weak in o-chem in college and had a hard time trying to remember the different types of reaction but the road maps in the destroyer were really helpful as it provides a great summary. I would recommend doing 40 problems each day from the math destroyer and setting a 40 min time limit to do them so you get used to finishing all the problems on time. On the real test, I found the QR section a bit frustrating; firstly because it is at the end (and I was pretty burnt out by then) and secondly, the problems on my test were long word problems (to read) so it is better if you try to pace yourself in a way that gives you 5 or so mins to spare while practicing.
and the MOST important thing: DO NOT freak yourself out!!! It is pretty normal to be anxious and worried but always tell yourself that you have worked hard in college and to study for the DAT so it will all come back to you. The calmer and more relaxed you are, the lesser chances of you blanking or freezing out are. all the best. I am sure you will nail it. and let me know if you have any other questions 🙂
