Anytime I talked to admission counselors, they always say volunteer in what you enjoy. I would definitely put down that you volunteer at a arboretum since that's really unique and will set you apart. Try to have some hours with human interaction so they know you can communicate with people lol
 
Honestly, try to be as unique as you can from all the other applicants. Put it down.
 
I had hundreds of hours of volunteer time at a community garden. It was a talking point in 3 out of 5 of my interviews. Anything to separate you from the pack is good as long as you have the GPA/DAT to back it up.
