As long as your still a full time student I don’t see anything wrong with this. It’s becomijg increasingly Moreno common to take 5 yearsHeaded into my senior year, I've strongly considered doing an extra year to spread my senior-year course load across 2 years. I'd be awarded my degree at the end of the fifth year. My reasons are:
1) Lightening my course load to get better grades
2) Spending more time accumulating ECs in university
I won't be applying this year, so I won't need to worry about finishing my degree for the purpose of matriculation. How would this come off to adcoms?
It's a pre-med delusion that you have to finish UG in four straight years.Headed into my senior year, I've strongly considered doing an extra year to spread my senior-year course load across 2 years. I'd be awarded my degree at the end of the fifth year. My reasons are:

I'm not an ADCOM, but... It sounds like you are going to spread 30 credits over 2 years, so 7-8 credits a semester.
