Most premeds just tend to be very over the top and pretty obnoxious about it. Just my opinion. Btw, how do you have 4.5 Interview Invites lol?

Western Michigan does a phone interview as a prescreen for the in person interview. It is basically a verbal CASPer.

@MemeLord I think you have lived a very interesting and energetic life compared to many of us, and unfortunately highlighting your relatively unique credentials in such a seemingly offhand and "faux casual" way can come off as a roundabout way to show off—ergo, some people would consider this thread a humblebrag. Also, because this whole topic revolves around a proxy for premed activities, comparing said proxy against other applicants', and was created during a time where the vast majority of people are stressed about applications and IIs, it's therefore not so hard to see why people got upset and touchy. I personally think you generally have the best intentions and this thread is by far one of your less egregious ones, but I believe the above reasons are why this topic received such notoriety on reddit lol.

Back on topic: I'm no longer a premed, but my wallet just carries the usual (IDs, cards, cash, etc). I used to have my collection of expried free bus passes from undergrad in my wallet as well—I kept them because I liked how they changed the design of the cards every semester haha.
 
Part of it is making everything about you. You started a fun thread that could be interesting and turned it into a “let’s talk about @MemeLord” thread. You’re pretty much always either talking about how awesome you are, turning unrelated threads into “about Me” threads, or badgering people to explain why it’s bad to recognize how great you are. And in the context of that, your more humble posts seem disingenuous.

Wouldn’t have thought about it that way. Figured “this thread hasn’t been used since Monday and seems to have come off the wrong way, so let’s repurpose it.” Will opt for PMing and/or just not worrying. Coolio.
