I applied MD the first day it was open. I added the DOs late because I was getting antsy waiting for my MD schools and a DO friend encouraged me to apply. I got accepted to multiple MD schools like two weeks after I got my DO interviews and withdrew my DO apps. So no, it wasn’t a bad time actually.

So OP should do something different then what you did last cycle? If it wasn’t a bad time, why would you recommend that?

It looks like MD schools have sent out about 60-70% of their IIs already. Unless you have $$ to burn I would wait. For most MD schools your stats put you in the 10-25 percentile Of accepted range. DO schools you’re probably sitting pretty good. I’d wait.
