I have around 5K+ hours of hands on patient care as a volunteer EMT that I picked up through high school. (I was head of patient care, wasn’t just an observer). I’m still continuing to volunteer as an EMT and I’ve been doing plenty of shadowing and research. For top schools do I need volunteer hours outside my EMT hours, such as volunteering at a soup kitchen etc. Thanks in advance.
Yes, you need nonclinical volunteering for ALL medical schools.
