Probably not justified. Its got the same problems as almost every other DO school.LUCOM states their placement rate this year was 99%+ after steadily increasing every year. Their COMLEX Level 1 pass rate this year was 92.6% and has been steadily increasing every single year. This seems pretty stellar for a brand new school. If the schools affiliations are put aside, is the LUCOM hate justified? Academically, the school seems to be punching way above its reputation. It is also has a very low tuition.
We have tons of rotation sites across the country and our graduates are also found throughout the country. We had a couples match in ortho and derm this year. You can view the rotation sites here: Clinical Education | Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine. And match results are located here: MATCH Results | Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine. They are not yet updated with this years match data. Feel free to DM me with any specific questions! Thanks for asking this. I was accepted to LUCOM and when doing research on the school on this forum the only problems people seem to have are with the parent organization. When I have spoken to current students they say that there is really no association with the undergraduate school. Would love to hear feedback about rotation sites, residency placements, and exams instead!
