Like Big Hoss said whatever is cheapest. It doesn't matter. Student loan debt is crippling our young dentists. It is nothing short of a tragedy.

If there is a 20k difference. Pick the one that is 20k cheaper. If parents are paying for it, then that is different.......carry on.

I’m having a hard time choosing between which dental school I should attend. UPenn and USC both have amazing programs and I wanted to get more insight about each program especially regarding USC’s PBL
usc's program is nowhere near "amazing" if you are comparing it to upenn, sorry

I'm not sure I have ever heard of anyone equating these two, I think if you took the time to investigate you would find UPenn to be the unanimous better option of the two.

According to ADEA explorer says the estimated cost of attendance (includes personal expenses) are almost identical assuming you didn't get a scholarship. That being said, go to the better school which is undoubtedly Penn.
