I know plenty of people who have been accepted to top 5 schools as reapplicants. Hell i'm on my 3x and I've interviewed at many top 30 schools this cycle, although I havent gotten an A yet 🙁.

It probably is seen as a disadvantage but it is what it is. Not much you can do to change it other than strengthen what you're perceived weaknesses are.

Hey guys, so my application cycle wasn't super successful (only 1 interview - waitlisted) and I was hoping to get some insight into reapplying. So some quick things about me: I am an ORM international student, so there are a limited amount of schools I can apply to (mostly top 20-30 schools). My MCAT is 522 and 3.9ish gpa from a small state school. I think one of the things that really hurt me is my late application cycle last time so I am planning to apply early this time.

However, I know some people say that reapplicants are at a disadvantage at some schools. Do any of you know of someone who has been accepted into a top 20-30 school as a re-applicant or is that un-heard of? Is it seen as a disadvantage applying as a re-applicant for these schools??

They're all schools I've applied to at least once, with the exception of Kaiser since it didn't exist back then (although idk if you would call Kaiser T30 but I digress), but I didn't apply to them in both of the previous 2 cycles.
