I think it would be good to get other clinical experience because I've heard mixed reviews about being a pharmacy technician and that it can be viewed as largely non clinical.

I agree, that’s why I’m a radiology aide at the hospital now. Do I need more clinical volunteering?

I plan on applying in 2022 and I am currently finishing up a DIY post bacc (3.85 gpa). I have about 40 hours hospital volunteering (patient escort) that I did over last summer, I worked as a pharmacy tech for 1.5 years, and now I’ve been working as a diagnostic imaging aide in the hospital for about a month. I have tons of research experience from when I was doing my bachelors in psychology and I was VP of an honors society. I’m worried about my clinical experience.. I was told that you need 3 most meaningful experiences and I originally thought you needed only one meaningful experience. Now I’m a little worried that I don’t have enough experiences. Any advice? TIA!
As a diagnostic imaging aide, are you in contact with patients? If so, this will be considered a clinical experience. How many hours have you worked as a radiology aide? Due to COVID, my school is expecting even successful applicants to have slightly fewer clinical hours relative to prior years. By how much? We won't know until this summer.

You can mark up to 3 activities as 'most meaningful'. You can certainly choose to only list one, though I personally think that is a lost opportunity. Furthermore, not all of your 'most meaningful' experiences need to be clinical in nature. Research, athletics, artistic endeavors, employment, leadership, non-clinical ECs, and hobbies, etc. are also commonly designated as 'most meaningful' as well. Best of luck.

Usually, if you’re asking yourself that question, that means you do need more hours. If you’re aiming for MD, I’d recommend 100+ hours of clinical volunteering.
