You will be asked what you've been doing in the time you are not in school. It is understandable to have a gap in emploiyment when relocating, particularly as the "trailing partner" when one party has a job and the other is relocating with them. A two month gap will barely be noticable.

Writing is a skill that is highly valued. Being able to communicate clearly in writing to different audiences and being good enough that someone is willing to pay you to do so will be considered unusual in a good way.
