I would go with Stony Brook based on the fact that it will be cheaper and is similar tier as USF. If they end up similar in cost, I would go USF based on a personal preference for Tampa over Long Island.

3 year MD is a nice option but are all specialties open?

Eek!!! I see you on so many of the threads I'm on so it's so exciting to see this post and that you have great options (fingers crossed!) I just want to raise two points- idk how expensive USF and GW are, but IS tuition at SBU is not that much less than some private schools when you count in fees. The other question I have (that I'm sure you've answered) is will GW or USF help you match in the city if that's your goal? A lot of SBU matches are regional to the New York region so while it won't put you in the city like an NYC school, it can certainly get you there.

Regardless I wish you the absolute best!!! You will be a star wherever you go 😀

(My disclosures: accepted at SBU, did not apply to GW or USF. I'm just an arrozconleche supporter.)

HEY!!

So true- I thought being in-state would help but honestly the loan isn't looking too different.

That is certainly is a good point. I think I need to think hard about the region I want to end up in...

Thank you so much beepbeep! I hope you are doing well and I am sure you'll end up somewhere amazing just like you 🙂)))!
From what I saw, SBU’s tuition was about 44k vs GW’s 64k. So not the best savings you could get, but that’s about 20k a year. And I don’t know how much you’d spend on rent in DC. Probably spend at least a bit more than around Stony Brook.
