Hi, congrats on your acceptance! Just keep your name on the WL and hopefully you’ll get in. If you get in and NY is your desired location go there but I think the schools are equally as great for clinical training.
 
I hear some schools actively discourage post-waitlist letters, but if Cornell welcomes them then fire away. Send a letter of intent if Cornell is truly your top choice and you're prepared to follow through.
 
Hard to beat an acceptance from Emory. You can do residency in NYC if your heart still desires when you have a paycheck (last I checked, cost of living in NYC is 120% higher than ATL)
