I'm pretty sure you can't stay on the WL once you CTE. If you want to remain on the WLs, you have to PTE.

I don't think they would be upset also you can explain that you are holding an A at another school with a much earlier CTE date and that you'd love to go to school B if accepted. A letter of intent is a letter that definitely shows your commitment, but it is non-binding and it's not your fault that you couldn't get off the WLs before school A's CTE.I understand that, what I’m saying is if I CTE another school bc their deadline is a month ahead of the school I sent the intent letter to, would the intent letter school be upset? Would I have to explain my scenario to them?

By choosing to CTE, you have indicated that you are removing yourself from consideration at other schools.
You're on School B's waitlist, not getting showered with recruitment money. No one is going to care if your letter of intent doesn't pan out. Happens all the time.I understand that, what I’m saying is if I CTE another school bc their deadline is a month ahead of the school I sent the intent letter to, would the intent letter school be upset? Would I have to explain my scenario to them?
