Would it be a red flag to disclose anemia in a secondary essay? Not in a complaining type of way, but in an overcoming an obstacle way with marathon running. It gives me an extra topic to write about, but would reviewers then just become biased against me and think I'll be too tired to get through med school? Not applying until the 2024-2025 cycle, so don't worry about how late it is. Just thinking ahead a bit. Should mention the anemia is chronic, but I wouldn't word it like that. Also high stat, good EC so it obviously hasn't affected me outside an athletic capacity. I could easily just not mention it and skip this topic.
Wait... so you haven't submitted secondaries yet (you said for next cycle)? What is the specific prompt you are considering?

Did you disclose this as an Other Impactful Experience?

Was saying that I am applying in the 2024-2025 cycle (as in next May), but I guess my paragraph was a jumble. Just thinking ahead.

For the prompt, I'm in Texas, so I was considering it for the optional essay (the 3rd primary essay) in TMDSAS and for AMCAS secondaries about overcoming an obstacle (don't remember which schools, but I remember seeing a few schools with this prompt on my school list).

I would not disclose it as an other impactful experience because I do not think it would qualify, and I think it would make it appear to be a bigger issue than it really is. Doesn't really affect me.

Thanks for the response btw
I don't see it as much of an obstacle, not compared to qualifying for marathons itself. Can't you come up with something different?

Personal health issues that affect you significantly can be discussed in OIE. But you have answered your question.
