I probably wouldn't post anything because anyone could easily find out what hospital this is with just cursory research. With that said, a hospital like this is not helping any community. If you believe there are wrongdoings that impact patient care then I wouldn't hesitate to file a complaint.

I remember the full post. I meant to respond but was rushing to work. Nothing is worth the full retribution of a hospital system scorned and you and I both know there is no such thing as "anonymous" reporting anymore. I've seen docs lives brutalized by a punitive and vengeful hospital institution. I'd quickly exit that situation and fast. Don't look back.

Current hospital has significant financial problems: Multiple missed paychecks for staff and docs, Can't get supplies because vendors are owed too much, no basic subspecialty coverage at all, haven't been paying health insurance premiums, multiple state investigations in last 30 days, but they send administration with them who visibly takes notes and texts, so no one can tell the truth without fear of retribution.

I’m honestly not sure why you’d work a day longer than you have to. You sure they’ve paid your malpractice premiums?

Quit means stop showing up for shifts. If there’s missed paychecks they’re in breach of contract.

Yeah OP you're not bound to anything if they've started missing your paycheck too. First missed paycheck without very quick remedy (like within a week), I'd immediately stop showing up for work. I'm not EM but this applies for pretty much any job including working at McDonalds.

That's wild!

I had a doc mention something like that to me from a nearby hospital when I was taking a transfer call. Reason for transfer was that they didn't have a key piece of surgical equipment to do the stabilizing surgery and also that they haven't been paid in some time. I was similarly surprised why they are still working at such a place.
