I've heard that if you don't plan on doing bench research, there is always a way to find research outside of your home institution. This could make research at the institution less of a strong factor?

I've heard that if you don't plan on doing bench research, there is always a way to find research outside of your home institution. This could make research at the institution less of a strong factor?

there is a lot of opportunities in Harvard affiliated hospitals. However I was concerned whether I would be at a disadvantage and be placed lower on the “hierarchy” as an outside of institution student. Esp given how much productivity matters
