Anybody going into private practice needs to read this law suit.

Basically, a group [allegedly] was about to get a $7 Million dollar buy-out from a hospital to become employed and held several [allegedly] secret meetings in which they restructured the corporation to exclude several Board of Director members who were also Stockholders including two corporate executive committee officers and two people who were on FMLA!

7 million doesn’t seem like a lot of money being deposited in a group the size of the Virginia Beach anesthesia company. Which itself is facing a lawsuit from the crna sexual assault on the patient

15-20 partners? I don’t know. Probably less than 500k per partner. And $280k was her initial buyin.

It’s all very complicated depending how the corporate structure. Maybe they didn’t modify their original corporate structure since 1997. Odd for someone to resign June 2025 and still remain a director.

The whole fmla laws is 50 employees or more. Wondering how many were employees or contractors. And do state laws consider partners employees of the shell company. That will be interesting as well in this day and age where half the Crnas are 1099 contractors.

I don’t understand why any group would get a buy out to become a hospital employee.
