Hello,

Unfortunately the search function didn't quite answer my question. So going into freshman year, I had to take the math ACCUPlacer....didn't take it seriously, bombed it (I've always struggled with math) and actually could not take gen chem because of it. Advisor said to take gen chem 1 and 2 at a CC over the summer after my freshman year. I did, and got an A and B+ respectively (FWIW I got an A- in OChem I and II and an A in biochem at my 4 year Uni). After my sophomore year, I ran into financial difficulties and actually dropped out of my Uni. That summer I took physics I and II at the same CC, and got a B+ and A respectively.

I took the physics course because I thought I would need to enroll at that CC that fall due to financial issues and also wanted to stay on track for med school/MCAT prep. But at the 11th hour I managed to be able return to my Uni (long story).

Im heading into my senior year with only 23 credits left to take. 8 of those credits are retaking physics I and II. Should I bother retaking them to look more competitive for DO/MD? Or would I be better off taking some 300/400 level Bio courses to boost the gpa up my senior year?

I understand CC prereqs aren't a death sentence, but I feel like I have too many credits at CC

I appreciate any feedback, I was in a really odd spot this time last year and would love any guidance,
Thank you

You're fine. Don't retake the CC pre-reqs. Take upper-level science courses at a four-year university, and get a good score on the MCAT.
