I submitted my AACOMAS primary application on 6/6/24 and have also submitted all secondary applications to the 11 DO programs I applied to. On my AACOMAS primary, I stated that I would be taking an MCAT retake in the future, but I have since canceled my retake. I updated my AACOMAS, and most of the schools I applied to have my MCAT scores marked as received or my application as complete. Should I email the admissions offices of these programs to inform them of my AACOMAS update and MCAT cancellation? Thank you and good luck to everyone this cycle!

Yes please. That way we don't have to keep your file in "MCAT purgatory" until we receive scores.

Great, thank you! I thought it wouldn't hurt to just send an update on my end to make sure all my bases were covered. Thank you again!

I already submitted my primary as well, but I did not inform the schools that I would be re-taking the MCAT. Should I reach out and let them know in case the first score isn't up to par for them?

You can update your AACOMAS application to show that you have a future MCAT date scheduled. That's what I originally had marked on my primary, but after I canceled my future MCAT retake, I was able to update my application so the schools knew that another score would not be coming.

Where on AACOMAS can you show that?
