184 on NBME 20 for baseline (7 weeks out). Any chance at a 230?

Curious as to what to make if that baseline score. My goal was to simply “pass” so I was disappointed but based on forums. It seems NBmE 20 is pretty brutal and underpredicts?? I’m gunna take the score at face value tho. 30% through Uworld now with 7 weeks left. Goal is a 230. How possible is it?

Very possible. Be diligent. Take care of yourself. It’s a marathon, so put in the work and trust the process.

Sure. Took nmbe 21 two days ago. Got a 205. Still low but im happy with my jump from 20 lol. Just under six weeks out
Nice! Glad you’re seeing gains!

I’m going to take another one tomorrow, super nervous. My score dropped from NBME 15 to 21, got a 196 on 21. Convinced I’m just so weak in biochem/cell bio/genetics that I can make a significant gain there - been hitting that stuff hard all week. Was getting 70+ in Uworld for a few days and then had a streak of SUPER low scores, so I freaked out a bit, but I’m keeping at it. Scores are back up and I’m feeling good.

Update. Took Step a few days ago. here were my practice scores
20: 184 (7weeks out)
21: 205 (6 weeks)
22: 209 (5 weeks)
UW1: 232 (4 weeks)
24: 234 (3 weeks)
18: 215 (2 weeks, ouch)
UW2: 228 (1 week)
Free120: 78.67% (3 days)
UW first pass: 63%

Overall, I'm pretty confident I passed but I feel my score could be anything lol. 3 blocks I thought were very easy, but 3 block were also very hard, and 1 block that was just tough but not too bad. Will be too grateful if I somehow pulled a 230, but just hoping for 220-230 range really.

Hey any updates? and please share what your schedule was like each day to see a steady improvement in your scores. Thanks

Thanks everyone. So basically if you’re baseline is low 6-7 weeks out just grind and you can still get a solid score. I’m bottom half of my class too. Hoping for EM. Such a weight off my shoulders

What was your strategy during dedicated?
Nothing unique. Changed my plan like 3x lol. Just kept grinding through Uw and making cards of incorrecta. Watched all BB and Pathoma. Actually didn’t watch any sketchy (had watched twice during 2nd year). But doing incorrecta really helped. After each practice exam whatever my lowest 2 systems where I’d spend the next 2-3 days going over those regardless of where i was in my scheduled. My score report had me dead even in every system across the board so get all your weak point up to at least average can help. Text day felt fine nothing crazy. I just know I’m not a 240+ test taker lol

UPDATE: 560 on comlex. Didn’t do anything for that other than watched omgomt. Didn’t open the green book or do anki. Looks like the average is around 550 but will be changing bc it’s a new test and more scores are coming out. Overall very happy with 228/560. Charting outcomes has chances of matching EM as a DO with that around 93-95%. There is hope for lazy bad students like myself lol.
