So I took my DAT last summer and got a 20 AA but a 18 TS. I'm currently in a masters program and got a 4.0 this past semester. I'm confident I can maintain a 3.8+ GPA (I'm also taking actual dental courses from rutgers school of dentistry). Retaking the DAT is a time consuming and expensive process, and I'd rather spend my time on other things such as shadowing or my EC's. Assuming I maintain a GPA around a 4.0, should I retake my DAT? My top choice school is UW and I am a washington resident.

I think with what you have, you should be ok. Just reiterate to UW that they are your first choice.

Most applicants in your shoes, if given a choice, would prefer to drink beer and live in Co where there is an abundance of canabis sativa, but that does not exactly improve an application. Applicants are judged based on what they present and since you just finished your semester on the MS program, it could well be that the train has left the station.

What's the layout of your DAT scores (anything under 17)? Also, what was your undergrad GPA? This can carry more weight than your grad school GPA.

I would recommend retaking the DAT with that undergrad GPA. Just my opinion.
