hey guys,

I already took my DAT december of last year, basically im just finishing up my personal statement and getting my letters of rec together. I'm looking to submit the application online by July 1st. Do you think this would still have me considered in the first batch of applicants? or would I be considered in the 2nd batch?? anyone know?

thanks!

ps -- I know for UOP, they dont even start looking at the applications until August, so if your app. gets there by Aug. 1st then it would be considered 1st batch

Not to be a bi-otch or anything, but you already took your DATS (which in my opinion is the hardest part), and the application takes like a day to fill out, and the essay also doesn't take too long. You shoulda submitted your application like last week! This is just my opinion though. Oh, but I think you are still considered first batch of applicants.

every school is different. Most begin looking at applications in August like you said.

There really is no difference between the "first batch" in May/June and the "second batch" in June/July. Most schools don't make admission decisions until after they interview you and interviews typically don't begin until August/Sept. When they say "apply early" they are not really talking about the difference between May vs. June vs. July but rather the difference between Summer and Fall (and definitely Winter).

So, relax!

I haven't submitted yet (will be by July 1st as well) and my opinion is, it's still early. If you have the grades/scores/experiences/amazing recs you'll be fine. I knew people who submitted late (fall-winter) and got into really respectable places (USC, UPenn). So yes, like me you should keep working diligently and submit, but I would not stres over it (at least I am trying not to!)
