I just spent the last 55 minutes doing a practice full PAT on CrackDAT PAT. It was test number 9, and my full breakdown is below. Please let me know if you have this program, and the scores you recieved on it, and if you have done the actual DAT. What is the comparison in each of the categories?

Here is my breakdown:
Keyhole - 14/15
TFE- 15/15
Angles- 11/15 ??? My downfall
Hole Punch- 15/15
Cube Counting- 15/15
Pattern Folding- 14/15

TOTAL = 84/90
SCORE= 24

My angles are the only thing that is messed up. If I could get these up to a 14/15 or 15/15, then I could possibly get a 26-29?? Im not totally sure, but please give me any input about these scores relative to the real DAT, im planning on taking the test July 24th.

Don't post every time you take a test (especially if it is only 1 section).
I scored a 24 on this section as well. Everything on this specific test was VERY easy except angles was hard as usual.

This doesn't mean you are not in great shape.

Dude your golden for the DAT. Good luck

Thanks for the responses.
Now, as for the test number, I just clicked on a random and it was number nine. Also, I thought it was a little easier too. I have the big package with tons of the extra angles, cube counting, and hole punching. It seems like the angles on the test were harder, varying by 3 degrees, the cube counting was easier, and the hole punching was a lot easier on the practice test.

I haven't tried another full one yet, but once I do I will compare my score to this one. I want to get at least a 24 on the real one, and thats why Im starting to study it now. But thanks for all the input and advice. I will keep track of my scores and post them after I take my DAT in a few months for reference. If there are any other suggestions/comments/questions please let me know.

I truly have not come up with a single method for angles. I just look at the answers, for example:
A. 1,2,3,4
B. 1,3,2,4
C. 2,1,3,4
D.3,1,4,2

So I would look at 1,2, and 3 and find the smallest, which a lot of the time it is favored, so 1. Then I would look at A and B since they are the only answers with 1 as being the smallest angle. I would see that the answers only differ between 3 and 2, and so I would look at those two and distinguish which is larger/smaller and choose the appropriate answer based on that.

One the practice tests, the angles only differ by 3 degrees, which is tough. I have a really hard time with the angles that are very larger (greater than 100 degrees). Also, the angles close to 90 are tough for me as well. The easiest ones are the small angles imo, I can fly through those. If ANYONE has ANY strategies for the angles, especially the larger ones,. please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, I like crackDAT alot. I have read a lot of reviews on it and I chose it for that reason. It seems to replicate the test well, but I have not taken a DAT yet, so I cannot say that. I believe it is a great program, but if you purchase it, get the huge bundle package. It is worth the extra money. You can sit there and do 100's of angles, hole punches, and cube counting. I believe the PAT is somewhat based on natural ability, but I also believe that if you practice it enough, you can get very good at it and excel on the test.

When I do TFE, I just visualize the object as a whole based on the two vies given. I then imagine what my answer should be for the third side and then I start looking at the answers. Usually an answer has too long of a side, too short of a side, or just doesn't make sense. This normally takes 2 answers out immediately. I then look at the lines and one will have the correct number of lines needed, and the other will not, and I base my answer on this.

If anyone has any strategies or things that just helped them on any sections, please post your input.
