Anyone care to contribute their two cents on how to rank this list based on program reputation/progressive changes? I think I have an idea of how I want to rank things, but any input is very much appreciated! Thanks, and good luck to everyone!:luck:

Agreed. Then Maryland.

Unless things have changed drastically in the last two years, I might offer different advice. Was pulled into an empty hallway during the tour, and basically told by the resident to look elsewhere.

Long hours, low board pass rate. Plus Baltimore isn't exactly a peach of a town for my family.

I liked what the PD had to say, and the facilities looked nice. Certainly would get great clinical exposure, I just got the feeling the program was slowly emerging from many long years of neglecting resident interests and well-being.

Hey guys thanks for the responses! Thoughts on Gtown?

I don't know about the program at Gtown, but I know Dr. Wall from a small group I had with him and I've also interacted to Dr. Freeman a couple of time. These guys are the residency director and co-director respectively. They both seem very nice and laid-back and from an MS2 perspective, I feel they would take good care of their students/residents.

Thank you for that perspective, Tabula 🙂

I was very impressed with my interview at Georgetown. I've lived in the west, the Rockies, and the mid-west, and have very little desire to move to the east, but I'd make an exception for Georgetown. Fantastic location. The residents were very happy. I was a little worried about the 0530 AM arrival time that many of them had, but morning lectures let them get out earlier than afternoon lectures.

If you want prestige, Georgetown was mentioned as 1 of the 5 best universities in the country on the NBC show "Heroes" when Claire was trying to decide where to go for college a coule weeks ago. That is prestige, right?

A friend of mine is an attending at Georgetown, did residency there and stayed on. Seems very happy.
Great area, just a cost issue.
