I'm taking a pretty heavy load this semester so I haven't had any time to prepare for the MCAT yet. I'll have 2 months between the time school gets out and when I'm scheduled to take the MCAT. I'm wondering if 2 months of full time MCAT prep (I wont have any other commitments during this time) will be enough to adequately prepare me for the MCAT. I plan on going through all of TBR and also all of the AAMC practice tests. Is this too much to cover in 2 months or is it doable? Any information or suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

I think it can be done. Though I would advise getting started before school ends. Read 1 chapter over two days or something, minimal pressure. So if school ends mid-May or June you will have gone over 1/4-1/2 of your content review, just something to get you ahead of the game.

Thanks for the advice. Good to know it's doable. Just wanted to make sure I'm not getting way over my head. Considering I've never done this before it's difficult to gauge exactly how much time it will take. If anybody else has any experience with TBR specifically, how long did it take you to thoroughly go through all the material?

You can do it if you have a strong base... but don't take it if you are not ready, you can't undo a score, and you will probably have to take it again anyways. Its better to sit for the test and take it as practice and then cancel the score if you aren't ready.

It's certainly possible. SDN is a pretty overachieving slice of MCAT takers. There are probably plenty of people who don't have the time or motivation to study multiple hours a day 6-7 days/wk for 3+ months to get ready for the test and end up doing alright. That being said, there are also plenty of people who don't study enough and bomb it. Which one you are will depend on your abilities and motivation.

Thanks again for all the good advice. I feel like I'm really solid in orgo, physics and gen chem but I'm pretty weak in bio. My bio I class was pretty good but my bio II class was complete ****. Teacher talked about whatever random crap was going on in his head that day and I learned next to nothing. I can't really postpone the MCAT past June because I'm trying to apply for this next cycle. Anyway, sounds like I should be alright. I really don't have any problem studying 8-12 hours a day if I really need to as I don't have any other commitments during this time.
