Hey all,

I have research that was presented at a podium at a conference and other research that had a poster at a national meeting. The problem is, while I am second author on both of those, I did not present at the podium (the first author did) and I was not at the conference while the poster was being presented (the school only paid for residents to go, plus it was mid-semester).

SO...

1) can I list these at all
2) is there anything I should add so I dont look like I am taking credit for things I have not done.

thanks

This is discussed in the FAQ:
If you were an author on research that was presented in abstract form at a conference, either as a poster or oral presentation, but you were not the presenter, then you can list the research under 'peer reviewed journal articles/abstracts' if it was published in a peer reviewed journal. If the research was not published in a peer reviewed journal (either as a full article or as an abstract), then you should not list it in any of the categories above. It would be appropriate to describe your involvement in the research project in the 'Research Experience' section.
Whether or not you actually attended the conference is neither here nor there.
