Hello,
I applied for fellowship this cycle and submitted my entire app on time except my MSPE and medical school transcripts were delayed. It took a few weeks for it to get sorted out by my medical school. At that time, I received one interview but silence otherwise (applied to PCCM and Cardiology). I emailed as many program coordinators as I could, with one telling me that I wouldn't get screened for not having my MSPE or medical school transcript "in" by any program she had known. And so my question is when programs say an application is complete versus incomplete, do you think medical school-related items are commonly used to filter on this basis? I worry my app now is essentially DOA.
I know there are dozens and dozens of filters, and I am holding out hope that since I am a PGY-4 Chief Resident perhaps that will overcome this issue but I do not know for certain.
Thank you for any insight,
Doctor Strange
