First of all I want to thank the forum for all of the good advice that is posted.

I'm currently a MSIII with mid-220's step I, okay grades, and lots of rads research that plans to do a few away rotations 4th year (as well as crush Step II, etc.).

My question is this: can I set up 2-week rads away rotations? Is anyone familiar off hand of some 2-week programs? I know that the majority of away rotations are 4-week* but I figured that I could establish the rapport and visit more campuses if the rotations were only 2-weeks long.

*As a side note, my school is part of VSAS and that's where I've gathered that most away electives that have been placed up as to date are 4-week. I did notice one 3-week elective.

Any advice is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

Furthermore, I plan to start off with a 4-week rads rotation at my home campus to help fortify my relationship there and to build a solid baseline knowledge for the away rotations.

I didn't end up doing away rotations, but I do think that two week rotations are not long enough to make a solid impression. I think you would want to do a four week rotation so as to get some research projects going and to really meet faculty at the program (esp the PD).

Thanks, Rzarecta. When you mention research projects, you mean research projects at the away rotation? Could a research project, other than maybe a Case-In-Point, be completed in 1 month? I figured that away rotations were moreso to demonstrate your knowledge and moreso attempt to click with the faculty.

Any other suggestions/opinions?

Thanks again!
