As most I have been doing a lot of the sciences so far. I have done destroyer once, now going through the sciences from Qvault scoring around 18-20 in them. Also I am planning on starting destroyer again for a second go.

Now my issue is mostly with the math and reading.

Math I have done a little bit of practice and was thinking of going over the 10, crack Math or Qvault tests. Which one are better?

For the reading I have found a strategy that works, but today had a real bad practice. I tried Qvault RC and that was ridiculously hard to read. So I was about halway done with passage 1 and over 20 min. Since I dont have time to waist I just scraped it and went to Crack reading. Did two passages timed with stop watch. Dont know if its becasue its late or what but averaged 22 min on both and got 70% of questions right 🙁

Any tips. I am a ok reader, but I think I am starting to panic right now and have no clue what to do.

MY reading strategy is I read 3q and then 3 paragraphs. Try to answer those and look at the next 3-4, and then read 3 more paragraphs. Repeat this till I am done. It works ok on Crack reading get 19,20s while on Qvault it was terrible I think I read half of it before even reaching one answer and this has me worried.

I have a week to take the DAT, and my worst topic is reading. gonna do something similar to you, I'm gonna answer the first passage all "D" and then take care of the other two, then go back to first one. this way I make sure I dont have any unanswered questions. for every passage, im gonna use your method. my best score so far was DAT 2009 (18).

for the math, just try to save time but not wasting it on the questions you are sure that youll get them wrong, Im talking about the questions you dont have any clue how to approach or they are really time consuming. they are few, take the other ones youll do fine.

Any reason why D. And yea for math just choosing the right questions makes a big deal.

Sooo another Question: I have am reaching the end of Q vault and been doing worse in bio last two got 17s.
I started rereading cliffs again yesterday. Should be done before the test, and also going to redo Destroyer, do you guys think I will be fine ?

that's interesting, I am doing destroyer again!!!
by the way, no there is no reason I am choosing D, nobody knows. I just want to make sure I am not leaving anything unanswered.

I guess you are on the right track but I would say try to not take any diag tests on the last week, because it might have a bad effect on your confidence.

I wouldn't stress about bio qvault...I was getting 20s to start with and the last one I took (7 maybe?) I got an 18 and didn't do the rest. I think if you have enough time to go through cliffs again you will be golden!

As for reading I did something similar...I read a question and read the article until I found the answer...if I got to a tone question I guessed and marked it, then went back to it at the end. So by the end of the questions I had read the whole article (this got me a 21 on the real thing)

For math all I used was destroyer and math destroyer...my biggest challenge was time and I ended up having to guess on the last five because I only had 2 minutes left :/

Thanks for the advice guys.I was thinking of doing at least two topscore for practice especially on reading the last week after I am done with destroyer. 🙁 I guess I can try to let the scores not bother me but if they are low its so hard not too. So much easier said then done.

Math, try to get a hand on Math Destroyer. The questions are SPOT on. Much easier on the real DAT, so if you know Destroyer you will know it on the DAT too!

Reading is always random for me. On my exam i literally read the questions and skimmed for the answer when I found the key word in the passage. It worked for me too! (22 RC)

I took it yesterday! So if you need anything else lemme know!

Congrats on being done. I dont know anyone with a Math Destroyer, just have the destroyer book, crack Math, and Qvault math. Dont have time to do all 20 exams any idea which is better?

I suggest going over all of the formulas and going through some of the Math Destroyer to start. When you've got a hang of the types of problems you're likely to deal with and have a decent handle on different ways of going around it, try taking some of the practice exams with a timer. QVault and Crack Math should be great resources for this. The first couple of attempts will likely be a challenge just because of the added pressure, but keep at it. I think the best thing about doing the different types of mock math section exams (ie. Crack Math, Qvault, Math Destroyer etc..) is that it teaches you how to be more efficient with which questions you select to actually do. If you're a natural at math, you could probably do all the problems no sweat with a little bit of practice. If you're anything like me (horrendous at math), you'd probably need to be a little more selective and take your chances with the questions you're most confident about.

Good luck!
