I know there is probably no right answer to this, but I have 2 weeks left to study and have taken NBMEs 1, 2, and 3. I have time allotted and $$ for 2 more exams. Which 2 should I take and in what order? Any advice would be appreciated.

I would do 4 and 6. I thought 4 was a little more difficult than 6, so maybe take 6 last (to boost confidence before the big day). NBME 5 was mostly a bunch of straightforward questions and it seemed to me there was a disproportionate amount of Neuro/Pharm. Which was annoying.

6 has a nice clinical feel to it, too... 👍

If you're going to do NBME 6, I can sell you my subscription. I bought it along with NBME 2, but I don't think I have time to do it(I take mine Tuesday). Someone else posted $25 when they sold theirs, so that sounds fair.

So I'm definitely going to take 6. Any thoughts on 4 vs 5 in terms of predictive value?

NBME 6 or World Assessment....ive read from some that world has good predictive value while others complain about their "high score"...

in the same boat! 2 weeks out, did nbme 2 after 1 week of studying, am going to do 3 and 6 (one today, one a week from now)- and perhaps glance over 4 from an 'unofficial' source. i was thinking 6 today and 3 next week, since there are somewhat semi-reliable answers floating around for that one, thought it may be better to take it closer to the test to use it as a learning tool. any thoughts?

5 was a sonnavabitch. I'm happy with my score, but it freaked me out while I was taking it. Good lord. I hope the real thing is more like 2 or 3.

Really? Other than the fourth block, I thought it was all fairly straightforward. I did well, but not amazingly so.

anyone taking nbme's the last week? dont know if i should take one 4-5 days out as i should probably go thru FA in that time and study HY behavioral that i've been putting off...have not taken an NBME in 2.5 weeks so i may just go in there not really knowing what i will get...

Yeah dude, I dunno. It seemed like it had a lot more 2ndary and tertiary questions, kinda like UW. Could have been due to the fact that I was rushed from having slept through my alarm and no coffee. I dunno.

I won't. It's time and money I don't think I need to expend, and I'm happy with the score I got on NBME 5, so I'll just tell myself that I'll do that well on the real deal. If I did horribly on a different NBME test, I wouldn't want that hanging over my head.
