Hi All! I was just curious...

1. How many D.O schools did you apply to?

2. Did you apply to M.D. schools also?

3. What is your "1st choice" at this point in the game?

Personally, I applied to 8 DO programs (No MD ones) and my #1 choice = PCOM

I applied to 9 DO schools, but I'm only planning on returning 7 of the secondaries...

I did not apply to any MD schools.

My number 1 (and 2) choices are Ohio U and Lake Erie.
 
Also...
what is everyone doing this coming year during the application process? (finishing college, post-bac, job, etc..)

Personally, I just got by BS in May and I will be teaching this year (Chemistry Laboratory Instructor @ a Big Ten University)
 
I'm taking a few extra classes...histology and p-chem...I'm also working a little bit, enjoying life, and praying that I get in somewhere!
 
5 DO schools... hopefully 6 as soon as VCOM gets itself situated.

2 MD schools (MCV and EVMS since they are in state for me. UVA prob would not send me a secondary with my GPA/MCAT. I love the DO philosophy but in state tuition looks pretty good 😀 )

My first choice right now would be VCOM, although it technically doesnt exist right now. hehe 😀
 
When will we know about VCOM? Does anyone know? 😕
 
I applied to 8 DO schools, no MD schools and my first choice is NYCOM.
I just recently graduated (May) and will be working with the developmentally disabled/mentally ******ed. I also plan on volunteering in the ER.
 
I applied to 13 DO schools...right now my number one choice is Ohio University. Currently, I am studying for the MCATs and working at a hospital.

I applied to 12 D.O. schools. My first choice is Nova (and the Florida weather).

This year I'm going to work as a Medical Assistant and just relax...I just graduated in May.

hey guys,

i applied to 5 DO schools. my first choice is PCOM. i graduated this past may, but because i was taking organic chem and studying for MCATs this summer, im going to start looking for a job after the test... 8 more days! good luck to all of you with your applications.
 
I've applied to 11 DO schools, 6 MD, and am considering applying to some of the Texas schools.

1st choice is AZCOM.

Will be graduating in April, in the meantime I'm finishing my degree, shadowing physicians, and working in my school's anatomy lab. I will hopefully be TAing for chemistry classes this fall, and I am currently working for the Athletic Department as a tutor for student athletes.
 
I've applied to 7 D.O. schools and 2 M.D. schools. My #1 is choice is TUCOM, close to home.
 
I applied to 16 MD schools and 4 DO school. I am really hoping to get into an MD school in Virginia. 🙂
 
DO Schools applied to: 6
MD Schools applies to: 14.

Would like to get in at the cheapest MD school possible. If not MD, I'd prefer to go to CCOM.
 
I applied to 6 DO schools... #1 is PCOM and #2 is Nova. This year i'm finishing up my last year of college and hopefully relaxing a little bit 🙂
