Off the topic, but interesting, I also just got my first solicitation from a med school because of my MCAT scores. It was from Wash U in St. Louis. Def. didn't apply there though (although I know many of you did). Too rich for my blood and although my MCAT was really good, my GPA is not up to their averages.
 
I got NYU's secondary also! LOL I know it's pathetic, but I was happy to get a secondary from a school that screens, because it made me feel like I at least overcame one hurdle. Did anyone notice that it said .01 for the bill? If that's true, it'll be the cheapest secondary I'll ever fill out! :meanie:

I got put on hold from Wake Forest because I am taking the August MCAT. How does the secondary look though?

Wake Forrest secondary isnt that bad....but it has some stuff to write and i cant seem to find the word limit.

do they want us to list or explain as in short essay?

U. South Carolina.

Has anyone heard anything about when UC-SF secondary will be out? My advisor sent my LOR to the school already but I think they might have to send them again since it says on the website that if they get materials before asking you to submit, they will be destroyed. Hmmmm.....
 
For the LORs, does one HAVE to be from a non sci faculty??? :scared:

Don't most schools require an non science LOR?
 
most didnt specify.....just letters from faculty (i dont have a committee)

Man, I have pretty decent stats (35/3.75) but haven't got a secondary from Northwestern. I hope its coming....

don't worry, Ranger47, NW doesn't screen, so we'll get our secondaries in good time (not that i'm in any hurry, though...)

Definitely not list..these are short essay questions.
 
anyone else heard from loyola? i know one person mentioned they got the secondary.... but have they gone out to the masses yet? [i.e. how concerned should i be that i havent received one yet?]
 
is this process starting to get to anyone else? whether it's waiting for secondaries. or "app complete" status, or interviews...gosh...i'm nervous already...

btw, for yale ppl, does ur status say "complete and in progress on" and say a date when u go to status check? Mine has everything in but says "no" to that input.

i didn't get the loyola one yet either, i wouldn't worry too much about it yet.

Anyone having issues with the Wake Forest Secondary? Mine won't even load up when i enter my id info?

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Someone please tell me what the Wake Forest essays are as seeing that I can't get into it and the obvious fact that i'm stupid enough not to save it on my hard drive...argggghhhhh

I didn't see any optional essay either. Might we all be smoking thick ones together? Or maybe the essay was the "explain your felonies" type... though I'm not sure there were any of those either. 😕
 
Has anyone here completed NYU's secondary that is on the quarter system? They only give two spots to show that you've taken 6 credits each of the requirements, but most of my classes come in threes. Also, should I put the credit hours in sem. hours or leave it as it is on my transcript? Thanks.

Sorry for all the confusion. When I originally posted it, I put adding University of South Carolina at the top... but I should have been more clear. "USC 7-16-04/email " should read "U of South Carolina 7-16-04/email"
 
The NYU secondary was so easy. God bless them.

Well, Wake Forest's secondary application form isn't loading up anymore, but the essays as I remember them were:

1.) Describe in greater detail a service activity that you listed in AMCAS and how it affected others.

2.) Describe another service activity and how it affected you

3.) Give a personal statement, or if you included a PS on your AMCAS, list anything additional you would like to tell the admissions committee...

no max word length given...hope that helps

Hey, I just got my invite from New York College of Podiatric Medicine! Nice brochure too. It looks like someone did it on their home printer.
 
I got an invite from them too. Although, my dog got to the application before I did and shreaded the bottom portion of it. What a smart girl! :laugh:

Yeah, I had to fix all my Northwestern essays to meet the character limit. Ugh. You think they could give you the proper directions the first time...

Also got the NYC Podiatric Medicine thing, and one from Wash U....riiiiiight, as if Wash U really wants me to come there.

I have not yet received the Rush secondary yet. I hope I've not been pre-screened!!! 😱 Would anyone mind posting the particulars (due date, etc.)? I would also like to see the essay prompts and lengths?

U could have done some research to find ur answers. However, I feel like being generous rite now.

The deadline is 1 month from the time you sign in for the first time. U should do the search for the essays. They r on this forum. (I m being lazy a$$ too....lol)

There are 8 essays and 2000 character limit for each of them.

I'm not sure what problem you're talking about, I submitted last night and it worked fine for me. Try it now!
 
So I'm assuming Wake Forest screens? I got something in the e-mail from them the other day, but then nothing. I wonder.. guess they didn't like me too much 🙁
 
My NYU secondary is still not working. I am thinking it could be due to my canadian billing address?

Dont worry too much u should be getting it soon.. My stats are avg so i dont they aren't too strict on there pre-screen stats.
 
Brown's supp. site is not working yet. I talked to a woman in the office and she said it should be up by the end of the day.
