I just got a letter (july 27) from Case Western inviting me for an interview. I scheduled with the secretary to attend August 17th. She said they interview on monday, wed, thur, fri. starting the 15th of august (which is already filled).

Lets get a thread going for interview dates and information on places to stay/ eat/ anything/ everything while interviewing.

I also got a interview invite from Case. Man that was fast. I got the letter saying they recieved my app on Monday, and on wednesday they send me a interview invite. I assume this means, they give out alot of interviews, and place alot of weight on it.

Just wondering, if you get an interview from this school, does that mean you have a really good chance (80% or above) of getting in?

Also, can people tell me other interesting things about Case besides the fact its well known for producing good clinicians. I've been reading the interview feedback, and seems like most people like the school with the only drawback being Cleveland.

Yes that will help you to get in having an earlier interview.
Case also doesn't have the newest clinic, its in the basement, no windows etc. Well organized though, I did like the school, the clinic was good, just not that new, nice sim lab, tuition was kind of steep, its now 40K
When you interview, assuming that you are flying there, take the train to the d- school its like 3 $ round trip and it drops you off a block from the school

As far as Cleveland being a crappy, it's true, but the nice thing about it is you can hop on the highway and are in the suburbs in like 5 minutes. Congrats on your interview!

To add:
1. Click Reply

3. Remove any comments added by previous posters.

You're going to be at dental school...you should get used to wasting your money.

Just go. Don't worry about trying to put an interview tour together...you'll drive yourself mad, it'll cost you more anyway and they schools will think you are a pain in the neck.

Not so much... 3.6 20AA/17PAT, but I've been working as a quality control chemist for a year... so that may have helped my cause a little bit... and applied super early.
