Anyone know when we can start filling out the 2007 AADSAS application? It only said available Mid-May on the website. Is there a way to atleast start filling out information without submitting it? Thanks

you can start filling it out ONLY WHEN ITS AVAILABLE. thats the crappy part about applying. no sneak peak.

AADSAS emailed me a reply yesterday that they don't have a specific date yet, but that it would be the week of the 15th.

Just have your stuff together like transcripts from everywhere, lists of honors, extracurriculars, work history, etc. and your essay written (4500 characters - do it in notepad), and it won't take that long to put it all in when the big day comes. I imagine next week the website will give the date. Surely they'll give us a week's notice!

you can submit it the first day it opens if you want!

There is lots to do before the app becomes live.
The two biggest is getting your transcripts sent to you by the time the app opens and write and perfect your personal essay. That's the bulk of it. Also, get your LOR's now.

If you have all that stuff done, the app will take an afternoon, then bam!.....submitted early! Ahead of the pack!

Why would you have your transcripts mailed to you directly? Don't they need to go directly to AADSAS from your school?

In your AADSAS app you need to type everything in. The course number, title, grade and when you took it for every class you every took in all your schools. AADSAS then needs official transcripts sent to them to verify it. Once its verified and correct by AADSAS and the required fileds are filled out (including your essay) you can submit your app, that is if you pay!! 🙂 . DAT and LOR's won't hold up your app.

Mmmm... I get it. I have access to all that info online though so I guess I'll save my money on transcripts. Not that it won't disappear any less slowly somewhere else during this process.

I figure to post this here rather than start a new thread:

I have 3 credits of "transfer" at my current undergrad school. These 3 credits I earned through an AP course in high school. Will I need to send AADSAS a high school transcript? Its 3 math credits that have NO effect on my GPA or reqs...only on graduating undergrad.

I don't really even care if dental schools know I took it. So should I just send in my one transcript (with everything on it)...or should I also get a HS transcript sent?

Summed up - will AADSAS still not accept my app. even if I don't need this course on my application - because it will show up as transfer pass/fail credit on my official transcript.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I had AP credit for 3 english credits... and I'm pretty sure the only transcript I sent in was from college. If they want it, they'll email you or something.

I remember you could add highschool AP credits but you don't need a separate transcript since the grades already show up in your undergrad transcript. At least that was the case for me.
