2007 DAT vs. 2014 DAT
Started by FancyFloss
2009 (more representative):
BIO: 24 (3X)
GC: 24 (2X)
OC: 30 (0X)
PAT: 23 (8X)
RC: 19 (14X)
QR: 18 (9X)
2007 (a bit easier, but not by a huge amount):
21 Bio (4x), 25 GC (1x), 30 OC (0x), 20 PAT (20x), 21 RC (12x), 29 QR (1x)
Actual:
BIO: 24
GC: 30
OC: 27
PAT: 21
RC: 21
QR: 28
As you can tell, even though the 2009 is harder, I actually did around the same (if not a bit better) on the SNS of 2009. The 2009's QR and RC are a bit more difficult (some people say it is a WHOLE lot harder, but to be honest, the QR is not something to take lightly... it's about bootcamp's difficulty maybe a TAD TAD easier). PAT on both 2007 and 2009 are too easy (bootcamp is your best bet).

What about the answer choices in the math and gen chem sections. Were the answers a final numerical number or was it set up so you didn't have to do the calculations (just putting the problem together)?
@dhk2131 How long before your actual DAT did you take the 2007 and 2009

I know it's not directed at me, but I took mine on Sunday and my DAT is in two weeks. I got a 21AA/21TS/ 21PAT. But his bio grade jumped up pretty high from the 2007 to the actual so it gives me some confidence.@dhk2131 How long before your actual DAT did you take the 2007 and 2009

As you know, Bio is a crapshoot so it's one of the only sections where your score can differ in a +/- 2 range easily (a lot is being lucky with the questions you get... hopefully they cover topics you are proficient in). The only reason my score jumped by 3 points on the actual Bio is not because the real DAT is easier (the real DAT had a lot of weird questions), but because I studied A LOT of content review the last week before my exam (pretty much neglected PAT, RC, GC, OC... and did a little bit of QR).

Took 2007 2.5 weeks before (I studied for 4-5 weeks.. so I took the 2007 halfway). I took the 2009 one week before my exam.
Did you find that the answer choices and the questions were worded similarly?07:
QR i got a 34/40
Bio 31/40
GC 28/30
OC 28/30
actual:
don't know how many i got right/wrong but..
21/22/23/22 scores respectively.

Bio was. the others were too simplistic/easy.
