Anyone know when decisions are made and released to us?

Does anyone know if Einstein listens to letters of interest/in the area notices? I sent them one last week, but haven't heard anything back. I was complete 8/15. I know they can be really slow, but I'm hoping to hear from them soon. Any thoughts?

is any1 else waiting for ages to hear from them....some ppl got their interviews a day after completion....i'm freaking out...

I've been waiting for a while too. Submitted in August, complete in September, but no word yet. I'm just focusing on the interviews I have in the meantime.

i read in the forum that the DO respond to those requests. However, I requested to do the same for the last week of this past November and they NEVER replied. so... basically: i don't know.

:soexcited::soexcited:WOOT!! Finally got my interview invite today after 3 months.

I was technically complete on Sept 9, but never received an email until 12/4.

Complete: 12/4, Interview Invite: 12/9

Does anyone know what month they interview to?

what do you mean by technically complete? can you elaborate on that to give ppl who were complete at more than 2+ month mark more insight? thanks and congrats!

I got an invite today!
Complete: Nov 11
Invite: Dec 10
I can't wait to tour Jacobi

Sounds like this school is not really Rolling based.... is it? im desperate for an interview here!!!!!!!1

Man, Einstein was the last school to list me as complete on Dec 8th, but here I am 2 days later with my first interview invite. It's going to be in March though, does anyone know if Einstein is rolling? From this thread it seems like they send out acceptances in January, but do they send out just a small bunch of acceptances, or do they send out all the acceptances they have so far?

has anyone received a rejection letter/told that you were not going to be interviewed? When do they make those decisions?

yay. i have known about jan 15 acceptance date, but can anyone pitch in some more details? about how many, up until which interview dates are usually considered, etc. i have interviewed in october, and the wait is pretty freakin long for a rolling school!!

You will find out January 15th. The October interviews were the earliest. If you want to know the exact date range they consider, call them. Make sure you start by mentioning you interviewed there.

has anyone e-mailed them and got a response? they're pretty unresponsive to my e-mails... both to admissions office n kerrigan, thanks

do you guys know when they go on break?

I emailed them in September to see if they received my secondary, response in less than an hour. I haven't tried to email them about interviews/decisions though.

Based on the interview and talking to the students who were accepted there and giving us the tour, I'm pretty sure they will interview well into the new year. Some of the students at the school giving us a tour didn't interview until February or March. So I wouldn't stress if I were you, although the wait is super stressful. :scared:

any tips on where people flew in and stayed for the night? and any other travel tips. flying from los angeles.

Thanks in advance!

Fly out of Long Beach using Jet Blue and make sure you line up a student host to stay with. It really cuts down on the stress when you're right there to start your day. If you have an interview some place off-campus there's a shuttle for Einstein students and faculty that you can take to the various hospitals. Plus, you get to talk with current students which is great.

i flew into lga...if you take public transportation to the school, make sure you have plenty of quarters (buses take change only) and give yourself plenty of time!! It took me 2+ hours taking buses and the metro to get there from the airport.

I also used a student host and it worked out really well. The apartments are right across the street from where you need to be in the morning.

same as the guy above, flew into LGA, took a cab on teh way there, made friends on interview day and split the cab on the way back. i also recommend the student hosts cause you can stay for free and its right across the street! :luck:

2+ hours to get from La Guardia to AECOM???? I was planning to use public transportation, but now I'm thinking about renting a car... The airport looks really close to school...according to google maps it's only 20 min drive...

DEFINITELY take a car if you can. LGA to the Bronx is like a straight shot across the Grand Central Parkway, but buses would probably take you 2+ hours because of the location.

So I've been complete since August and haven't heard anything. Anyone sending their fall grades to Albert Einstein? Where do I mail the official transcript to? Thanks for the help!

Do you guys happen to know who we should send an update letter to? Much appreciation, and happy holidays everyone!

I send mine officially addressed to the admissions office but put the names of my interviewers at the top as the people the letter is written to.

Thanks. I will probably email my letter, as oppose to sending it by snail mail.

did anybody who sent an update/interest letter get confirmation that it was added to your file?

I just got an interview.

I am debating whether or not I will be interviewing for an alternate position or an actual position...does anyone know?

On my interview day, several of the tour guides said they had interviewed around March-ish, with one saying she had interviewed in April I believed. I'd say go for it if you're interested in the school!

I got an e-mail saying "thank you for the update", but that is all so far. What kind of confirmation did you guys get?

how many days after did you guys get the response to your updates cuz it's been a very long time for mine and i have not gotten any responses. thanks

They told us their aim was to keep some spots open for the later interviewees. I can't speak on how good the probabilities are comparing now to say, September, but I do not think you'll be competing for the waitlist.

Hm, likewise. I did send it via snail mail, however.

Anyone know how we'll hear back from AECOM around Jan 15? I interviewed in late September and I'm wondering if I should be expecting a snail mail to my permanent address? preferred address? email??
