Does anyone know how long we hear back after an interview? Assuming the campus preference was submitted right away.
 
MrGold, I interviewed the same day you did at Upstate.. no word yet?
 
Nah...I called up on Thursday to confirm they received my campus preference. They said they hadn't so I'm gonna check up again tomorrow. I wish I just handed it to them before I left Weiskotten. You hear back?
 
Nah. nothing... I think they said for us, 3rd-4th week of Feb we should be hearing back... yikes. I'm hoping for an acceptance... what campus did you select?
 
I went with Syracuse only. I understand it may have improved my shot if I wrote both, but I didn't want to take the chance of being placed at Binghamton (Not that Bing. is terrible). I decided that Syracuse would better prepare me for possibly going into a specialty. You choose?

I'm also kinda interested in which applicant you are. Of course if your not comfortable don't worry. I was one of the two guys that had an undergraduate business background and from MDAPPS, you can figure I'm the white one. Weird to say that but it helps to distinguish...
 
Haha, there were a few white folks on that interview date.. actually there were what, four white dudes I can think of.... anyway, im one of the three girls there- im from NJ, went to college in Pittsburgh.... does that narrow it down ? 🙂
I chose Syracuse, but Im pretty sure they said that it wouldn't matter what we chose, but for waitlist consideration it would come into play... but I could be remembering things wrong..
 
Yea. You were the girl that plays vball! I was the guy talking about beach vball. That should do the job. We'll see how it turns out...good luck with this whole process!

(ps - I was speaking with an Indian guy bout my health care management background....I guess no one else was listening in...lol)
 
Hahaha.. good work! Yea, interview days can be such whirwinds.. rushing from one place to the next.. that's actually the most ive talked with other interviewees... Well I guess we have a little less than a month to see...I assume this will be my last interview, as I have no other ones left 🙁 Good luck if you have any more coming your way!

I have my interview this coming wednesday and have no interview page on my status page. I received the interview by a phone call & have just been dealing with each issue (ie- scheduling the interview, figuring out the pre-interview essays, submitting the essays, figuring out what time i need to be there) by calling and asking. Just realized I have no idea where I'm supposed to go for the interview so I would appreciate if somebody could let me know where I should show up Wednesday morning. Thank you in advance!

I interviewed on the 7th and i still havent heard....

anyways, how long did they say at your interview? they said it'd take 2-3 weeks when i interviewed.
btw, do you still have the "congrats, interview" message when you log on to your application online? i still have mine.

yes to the congrats interview Upstate status page- it pisses me off!
 
sorry if someone asked this already but i'm going out of my mind, haha

i know they said that campus selection wouldn't make a difference on the committee's decision, but i'm wondering if that was only for people who put down "a or b campus".

i put syracuse "only" and since it's been more competitive than binghamton, i wonder if that's why it's taking longer for my decision.

does it absolutely have no bearing on the outcome? whether it's "only" or "either campus"?

They said today that they don't look at that until they start pulling from the waitlist, as they won't put you in a spot vacated by someone from Binghamton if you mark "Syracuse only."
 
Any January 20th people hear back? Or rather, what's the latest interview date people have heard back from already?

I interviewed Jan 12 and received a decision last week

has anyone called to directly ask about the status post interview? the phone recording just says look online, and i kinda want to ask directly, but dont want to appear pushy.

Ahh, ok... I think I saw previous posts that said something about email notification, or status page change, and I didn't get either of those... Are waitlisted people called as well or just emailed? Anyone know?

accepted = phone call
waitlisted = email
rejected = snail mail

how long does it take to receive acceptance package with deposit once we are notified? I've alreaady received summer anatomy email but am yet to get the package in snail mail. FYI I interviewed in mid jan.
 
Yea, I haven't gotten mine yet either.... im just anxious to see what campus I've been assigned to....
 
I officially withdrew from Upstate where I had an interviewed scheduled for March. I hope some who really wants it gets it.

In the interview, they made it sound like they make it a good way through the high priority list. I'm not sure how far they usually go, but it seems like they almost never make it to the hold list. Hope that helps- good luck! I'm still waiting to hear...
 
does anyone know when HPA people will start getting acceptances? I just got on the HPA list and I guess besides an acceptance it's the next best thing.
 
Hey Funky, i was placed on the HPA list on October 18th and i was accepted into Upstate on December 11th, so i think you can get pulled off the list at anytime.

I got reviewed in a week. Talk about quick decisions.
They didn't even get my campus preference yet.
 
does this school really do rolling seriously?

as in, do i have a way better chance at an interview and an acceptance if i apply the first day I can for primary and secondary?

i'm confused because my AMCAS was verified late sept, and i received SUNY's secondary almost right away and submitted it a week later, only to be rejected a week after that :S not even an interview... and its not like i didn't interview anywhere else.... what's up with all this?
(my gpa is 3.54 /my mcat 34Q well balanced. extracurrics/research/clinical experience all very interesting.)

offer advice? any stats on how many acceptances are made each month?

also anyone know if there tends to be a post-interview waitlist that moves quickly?

I'm with you. I'm on this list, it is my first choice school and I'm hoping to get in. I hope the list moves this year. Btw, when do interviews officially end?
