For the last essay is it 100 words per activity or total?? 100 words for multiple things would be impossible to do...

I think it's 100 words total. You can always pick one activity that you thought was meaningful and go into more detail about it, it's what I did.

If you're referring to the before last essay, it's 100 total. They all are.
 
I submitted 7/27 (the day I got the secondary, I was verified in June), still not complete yet. This randomness with all the medical schools is getting really annoying. Particularly since a lot of the schools are on rolling admissions yet they don't complete people in any particular order.

word. kind of makes the whole "turn it in early" a bit useless
 
anyone here gonna be in ATL the weekend of oct 3-5? i'm gonna pick up some snow patrol tickets for the 3rd....the more the better 😀
 
I feel like schools like Vandy and Emory hate me...but schools like Pitt and Ohio State love me lol
 
completed this one over the weekend. this was my last secondary, thus i was really happy when i pressed submit. hopefully i wont be rejected at too many places making me add more schools. this seems like a great school and i would be honored to get an interview.

an interview would be fantastic, but I'll settle for being marked complete first.
 
Yeah, I'm not complete either. It's almost 2 weeks.
 
Interview invite today! Fast turnover... I was complete less than a week ago.
 
Only school that requires a picture where mine wouldn't correctly load. Have to snail mail it now.
 
Just received the 'complete' email. AMCAS verified 8/27, Emory secondary submitted 9/2
 
Submitted 9/3 b/c I couldn't pay online until then for some reason. Complete today! (9/9)

The email says:

"NO APPLICANT IS REJECTED DURING THE INTERVIEW SEASON.

If you do not immediately receive an invitation to interview, this does not mean you have been eliminated from consideration. All completed applications are KEPT IN REVIEW THROUGHOUT THE INTERVIEW SEASON (October-February).

Invitations to interview will be offered from now until the end of February."

Take from that what you will.

annoying, I submitted over a week ago and I'm still not complete. Not really sure why they go out of order like that.

I also submitted the last week of august and nothing. why are they doing these out of order?! 😡

meh, it's not just Emory. I've seen this sort of thing happen at a number of schools, and I was trying to figure out why it happens. I figured maybe each app is processed by different administrators, and some admins may just be quicker than others? That was my more comforting line of reasoning at least.

They might also do them in batches and then go by last name. This is only one of 4 schools that have been giving responses to people who were complete after me.... Why does everyone hate me so much? hehe

They say you should be complete within two weeks, so I'll probably email them tomorrow night (that'll be the 2 week mark) if I don't hear anything...just to make sure there wasn't a glitch in my submission or something

Anyone have experience with changing interview dates? How amenable are they to this?

ugh. same boat. submitted 8/26. still waiting.
spending 4 years undergrad at emory should have prepared me for how randomly everything gets done there... but it hasn't...

Just wanted to comment how Emory was the only school where I needed to call admissions, but they were super duper friendly.

My picture wouldn't show up when loading, but when I submitted it said they received it. Called to check and it actually didn't work so I have to snail mail it.

I'm tempted to call as well since it's been over 2 weeks for me.... I wish I had a legitimate question rather than "hey, when will you complete me?!?" 😛
 
Finally complete!!! Submitted 9/7. Now if only I could get an interview...this is by far my top choice.

Any other in state applicants?
 
Hmmm submitted 8/26, still not complete. Senseing a problem here. . .

Same. If I'm not complete in two more weeks (which will be 5 weeks since submission), I'm calling my credit card company to reverse my $100 transaction with Emory for "services not provided in a timely manner." Heh. :slap:

I echo everybody's frustration. Unfortunately this isn't the only school that has been dragging its feet on completion for me

yay...complete today🙂!!! i submitted everything 9/7. i am now complete at every school that i applied to. i feel bad for you guys who haven't been completed yet, even though you guys submitted everything before me. hopefully tomorrow they complete you.:xf:

hmm . . . although i submitted a primary, i was having second thoughts about doing the secondary. Emory is a definite reach for me. but the above quote does make me feel better.

is it worth it? do i have a shot in hell?
