I called the admissions office and was told that all the acceptance letters have been sent out. waiting for my rejection now...

Yeah it's a south american expression that I think is quite a bit more eloquent than "getting drunk because I'm sad." Glad you enjoyed it.
Why such conflicting information? I called and was told acceptances are being sent throughtout the week.... confused and sad 🙁 [sigh]
I didn't get a name, it was a woman though. Shall I call again and see if I get a different answer?
NP acceptance this morning! wow!
I just called and spoke to a man who said they still have a lot more decisions to send out and that they will be distributed throughout the week. I asked if all acceptances have been sent today, and he said, "no, like I said, we will be sending them out throughout the week"
I'm quite sad as well. You work so hard and sacrifice so much. and then the day finally comes...and silence.

Just talked with the office, who said decisions will be going out via both email and snail mail, starting today (obviously) and continuing throughout the week. Best of luck to everyone!

I just called the office again and talked to "Katherine." She said that decisions will be going out all week. I don't know who I talked to earlier, but I'm sorry to have scared everyone with misinformation! I'm going to go outside for a while and try to stop worrying. Good luck everybody!

DECISIONS includes acceptances, rejections, and waitlists...
So it seems like ALL acceptances have been gone out today..and the rest of the DECISIONS (which means rejections and waitlists) will be going out the rest of the week which is exactly what the admissions office is telling you guys
in my experience acceptances are usually all released on the same day followed by the rest of the decisions..
unless they EXPLICITLY say we still have a batch of acceptances (not just using the word "decisions") to send out its not looking good for the people who haven't heard yet
congrats to those who got accepted!
Oy, I just want to know so I can start making the final decision. It stinks that they're dragging this out through the week, but we'll all see. Congrats to all those accepted, and good luck to everybody waiting!
I hope you are right tjquinn. It would be a bit anticlimactic for me if it was over already.
Haha yeah I don't trust them. They clearly are using the word "decisions" in order to be vague. They know the exact reason we are calling, they would straight off say "yes acceptances are still going out and will be spread over a few days" but they're not saying that..they're saying "decisions will be spread over a few days" and upon asking them further about acceptances specifically it seems like they're STILL being vague ie "yes like I said they will be coming over the next few days"...I really HIGHLY doubt that they still have a batch of acceptances that they're waiting to send out UNLESS they EXPLICITLY say "we still have a batch of acceptances to send out"..sorry to be so negative I had a similar experience with another school and I was really disappointed that in reality there were no other acceptances going out...i REALLY REALY hope I am wrong though..just trying not to have false hope..am really disappointed though

I am extremely anxious about this "decision". When I asked the guy who answered the phone, I caught myself saying, "have all decisions been mailed yet?" He said, "No, decisions will be e-mailed throughout the week." I was not satisified with this answer, as Doc rightly pointed out, so I probed further and asked about acceptances in particular, he got snooty and said, "Like I said, they will be e-mailed throughout the week."

I'd get snooty too if 50 bajillion people were calling to ask the same exact question. Patience, people.
accepted!! did not see this coming at all. i had made plans to move to SF, but now i'm not sure. i guess that's what revisit is for.
