Im sort of in then same boat...I've been complete since 10/7 and havent heard a peep since! :scared:
 
I submitted the secondary with all my letters Oct. 3rd and I'm still not complete...this is taking forever! 😕 Anyone else in the same boat?
 
Yes! I have had everything submitted since Oct 1st and have yet to hear if my file is complete or not. It's quite frustrating.

I submitted my app. sept 1 and was complete 11/19.. you guys might have to wait a while longer
 
Anyone interviewing on Jan. 4th?
Also, for all those worrying about how slow Penn State is, DON'T!! They are supppper slow with the whole marking of complete, but then they only take a few weeks to send out an invite.

I'm flying in tomorrow and interviewing on Monday. I'll be staying at the Days Inn as well. I'll PM you and we should definitely meet up!

im interviewing here at penn state on wednesday, 12/9 and staying at the Days Inn . anyone interviewing this day and want to meet up/grab a bite to eat?
 
Anyone hear anything that interviewed Oct. 30th?

I'm guessing news should come pretty soon. I'm getting very anxious
 
Anyone gain admission who thought they had a poor interview? I'm really interested in this school but felt like I bombed the first interview which soured my experience for the rest of the day. Hoping for some love. I had a few other interviews that I thought went better and ultimately didn't gain admission. Everyone said these would be laid back but I thought I was grilled pretty hard. I think it depends who you get.
 
Also, folks should try to schedule the afternoon schedule. I didn't like how us morning people got the school presentation after our interviews - I felt i would have had a lot more to say and more questions had I saw the presentation before my interviews.

I got accepted, and my second interview was not good at all. It lasted only 15 minutes, and I ran out in the middle of the interview in a coughing fit....
 
They were very quick about completing my application. I submitted everything on Oct. 19th, and they completed all of it by Oct 29th. However, I got a "Continue to Review" letter on Nov. 27th, so I didn't get anything positive out of being complete so early. Is "Continue to Review" essentially a rejection letter at this point?

I don't think so. I submitted 09/15 and was complete 10/20. I didn't get any letters from them, but still think that unless you get a rejection letter, you are not rejected.
 
Has anyone heard anything post interview recently? How long should one expect to wait?
 
Just got accepted off of the wait list! I was placed on it back on Oct. 22nd and received the snail mail acceptance today.
 
Title says it all.

Just got the letter today. Interviewed Oct. 30th.

My stats are average and my interviews went well and I have good extras that I'm sure most people have or have better ones, but nothing especially noteworthy.

I feel my big plus was that I'm a biomedical engineer with a masters degree in BME. They seemed pretty jazzed up about that and I played off of it in my interviews

Thank you 🙂 I submitted my secondary on 9/1/09 and was officially complete on 11/14/09. Since it took so long just to get complete I thought this was going to be a silent rejection, very pleasantly surprised.
 
Interviewed 10/30 and got the big packet of acceptancey goodness yesterday. The letter was dated 12/3. I was complete 9/11 but I submitted it at the end of July! Good things come to those that wait! Woohoo Penn State!

Not really, OOS, average MCAT with a good GPA and solid ECs. I never sent any update letters or anything like that.

We interviewed on the same day, so I am getting nervous. Did you hear through email or snail mail? Just curious, where are you located (east or west US)? Thanks.
 
Hey DarkSideMoon,

If you're West coast, I wouldn't get too worried yet. I'm on the West side and haven't heard back anything - good or bad. Interviewed 10/26, so I'd be in this batch of letters as well. My guess is that some of us West coast folk have mail still coming (hopefully good mail!). It probably snowed in Denver or something. 😀

That is exactly what I had in mind. From what I can tell on SDN I have 3 letters on the way. What is wrong with email?? Anyways, best of luck to you Leonora.

I received an acceptance letter via snail mail and I'm in Los Angeles.

Ooh, that's a good sign - maybe we'll have some sort of word tomorrow! Since you received one in LA (congrats, by the way), I bet the letters have landed in the big cities and are headed for the small towns. Come on, mailman. :xf: I think I'll call in if I don't hear tomorrow.

Congrats!! My daughter interviewed on the 6th as well, hoping to hear something today. When was your letter post marked? We are in Seattle so it may take longer.

Yeah, I called once last week and the secretary didn't know anything. I also sent an e-mail, which no one has responded to. I talked to the director of admissions today, though, and he said "it's in the pipelines, where it's supposed to be." So whatever that means.. sigh.
 
Anyone else received a pre-interview hold notification? Is this basically a silent rejection?
 
congrats to all these acceptances... i'm getting nervous just reading these posts...

interviewed 11/11 so it would appear my time is coming up in a week or so... good luck to the rest of you still waiting!

I think I remember her...went to Stanford right? Anyways, my letter was post marked 12/04. I didn't receive a background check email, though.
