There's actually an Interview Feedback section here on SDN, where you can get all the inside scoop on medical school interviews (i.e. questions asked, length of interview...) at PSU and other schools.

Overall the interview day is pretty laidback. You do two faculty interviews, one M.D. and one Ph.D. My interviews were no longer than 45 minutes each, but it can vary from one interviewer to the next. You tour the school and eat lunch with first and second year medical student (not in this order because you have the option of morning or afternoon interview).

For those of you who interviewed at Hershey,

Could you please tell us how they did things and how it went in general? Also, How many people did you interview with? I'm just curious and am putting a little more energy into Hershey as this would be my first choice school.

I think their last week of interview was last week of march. Many other people have confirmed this.

No and I have been on the hold list since Jan 13th. I am pretty sure that most of the hold list will have to wait until May 15th at the very least.

Agreed, I've heard that there's usually a good amount of movement from the hold list. When I was interviewing a few students were telling me that they did not hear that they were accepted until June. Hopefully we'll hear more from them after May 15th.

It might have been this one or a different school's thread but somewhere I read someone on waitlist/hold had sent multiple LOI's and even a new LOR!

However, Penn State is not accepting any LOI, I believe, multiple LOI is not a good idea for any school. Unless, you are 100% sure, don't sent LOI to any school.

They accepted my letter of Intent and update... I sent it right when I got the letter... But I think they only accept letters after you are on the waitlist not before

Well, I'm not sure that can be generalized to any school. Penn State doesn't seem to really care about them (I was on the hold list for 2 months and was then accepted out of the blue without any LOI/update/grades). Other schools, however, are known to respond to interest, and sometimes multiple letters are warranted.

Any prediction? how post-May 15 Hold list movement would be?

Of course i'm hoping for something around 30 ppl from the hold list... but realistically i'd *predict* maybe 10-15? I don't really know... just hoping for the best
