I'm still waiting for a secondary as well. I added/was verified on the 24th.
Now I'm starting to wonder how long this will really take. I was hoping to get the secondary Monday...

I submitted my AMCAS on July 14th, and received the secondary on July 27th.

i heard a rumor that there is someone in our current class with outrageous stats, going on a full ride to PSU this year.
how do you pay for this thing?! does something pop up after you submit? and what do you do if you have fap? i saw someone say something about sending them a pdf, but a pdf of what (the fap main page that says you got one? or the email?) and to who!

send it to their general email address for admissions. And send the pdf of the page that says you got one...it says your name and amcas id at the top and says something like "Congrats mr X you have recieved FAP for the 2009 calendar year blah blah blah. Nothing relaly pops up after you submit but you cant submit until you pay or they let you bypass payment because of fap

Yeah I'm in the same boat as you. I called the other day and the lady said that they have a rolling admission process so they go in order of application submission. I asked if its "normal" to still not be complete after about a month of waiting and she said it was fine.
Seriously...it's kind of annoying. I submitted 2 days after the secondary was available. I called and the lady was somewhat rude, or rather frustrated about my call for completeness.

Just in case it helps anyone to have one sample timeline... complete today, submitted everything 8/10. Just over three weeks...

Finally complete today (09/01), although I had assumed to wait for a few more days. Secondary submitted: 08/08.

I'm in that boat as well.
Think of it like this they're so interested in your application that they just can't out it down.

we don't have a student hosting program at PSUCOM. However, I just told my classmate (whom is running for class president) to make mention of initiating such a program if he were to win the election. He is giving his speech tomorrow, so it should fall on some influential ears and hopefully we can get a program set up in time for some of your guys' interviews!

just an update:
the idea of creating a student hosting program has officially been announced to a good 40% of our class. We have a lot of great motivated people who are sure to get the ball rolling on that project soon....pending anatomy doesn't take over our lives TOO much.

Just wanted to find out whether anyone on here is currently on deferment, i.e. accepted for class of 2009 but starting Penn State in 2010, or has ever been on deferment at Penn State?
And if there is...., do you know whether we have to re-send our "secondary app."? I got a secondary application e-mail this morning, and got kind of confused since my deferral request (granted more than a month ago), did not mention anything about filling out another secondary application. Anyone in the same situation?

same but w/e...theres nothing we can do at this point anywyas, it still techincally hasnt been 6 weeks
I'm sending an e-mail tomorrow, just because that's six weeks. Frankly, it's preposterous that this has taken so long. If others are receiving interview invites and have submitted their applications weeks later than ours, we are getting screwed. PSU runs on rolling admissions, and because of that, there is absolutely no reason to not go in chronological order.
I actually called them. She basically told me to wait because "they receive a lot of applications." Bull****.
Every time I hear the admission lady tells me that they run on rolling admission, I just want to scream "People later than me are getting interviews!!!!"

From what I can tell they are rolling.. and the latest completion date I've seen where someone has an interview invite so far for this cycle is Aug 11th.
Has anyone who was complete after Aug 11th received an invite so far?

I just received an email saying my application is complete (9/8), however I felt I turned it in a while back.
It's true that they can get interviews for having better stats, but there's no excuse for them to be complete before the people who submitted earlier.
What would stop them from designating applications complete on a competitive basis too? From what I understand, one you're complete you're under review, so I would think they'd "complete" or review people who are more competitive.
Either way, hopefully we all hear something positive soon.
...But how would they designate who is competitive unless they have already reviewed the file...which would have needed to be complete to be reviewed....
I got my *submitted* email on 8/2, and I have yet to receive the complete email, it seems if people who submitted on the 28th/29th just received theirs, i should be getting my in the next few days. I also called them and received the "just be patient, we're going as fast as we can" response.
Yes they are so slow about everything. Took forever for them to send me my secondary and is taking forever to mark as complete. This has to hurt them b/c pretty much every other school is way faster than them and Im sure students take into consideration their lack of organization when deciding where to matriculate or w/e it is that takes them so long when other schools with way more applicants are 100x faster. Kind of ridiculous but I guess thats the way it is.
