serious ahha...i mean im not freaking out by any means but the fact that im stil not complete 6 weeks later is a little disheartening.
I listed them, then tried to explain why I still wanted to go into medicine after all the negatives. I assumed they knew what I meant about the negatives simply by listing them, but they wouldn't know why I still considered medicine a viable career for me unless I told them.
Finally a complete email today - I submitted everything 8/18.

Yea I have the same status despite getting a complete email long time ago. I called 2 days ago and the lady who answered said thats how it is supposed to show up. I think they don't change it after sending us the complete email. From what the lady described it seems like it changes to complete once we are under review or something. Not sure tho.
How about the people who got invites see their status and tell us something?

So I am guessing they review stuff in batches and the rest of who either don't have an updated status or a complete email are not currently under review.
also they probably give preference to PA residents

I got this message for a month now and still no update. Somebody please tell me how long a person typically have to wait for interview decision after receiving this message?

Just cross your fingers that you haven't heard because of a little white envelope on it's way to you.
I think they are just slow though. At two months to mark someone complete, I'm not surprised that you've been complete for a month and still haven't heard anything.
I actually submitted my application last week so that they could review it for the 2011 cycle... Or so it seems...
Same here. Either we're rejected or there's just really slow. I think it's probably the latter based off this thread.

lol i submitted on 7/28 and still not complete thats 6 weeks there. I just stopped caring, calling wont doa thing but get you a rude answer so its best to not worry and wait.

Penn State went from middle of my list to dead last because of how slow and disorganized they are. If this is how they are with the application process, i can only imagine how disorganized the school would be if you attended there. They need to shape up, because I guarantee you they are losing many great candidates because of how slow they are. This is equivalent to a student showing up at an interview 2-3 hours late and acting like everything is cool and they should still be accepted. It works both ways.
I applied aug 27 and was complete on the sept 8. It takes em a while, but it'll come

Agreed. It gives a negative impression of the school and program. Penn State and Vermont....
while i dont disagree about a possible negative impression, the fact that it will deter applicants is somewhat of a joke. So youre saying that if you are complete and interviewed in 2 weeks you wont go to penn state? I mean really? I am frustrated too somewhat since its going on 7 weeks but its just w/e...no need to really worry. I for one would love the chance to interview here and be accepted regardless of how long they take to complete me...now i feel ill nvr be complete so i dont think ill ever get that chance haha
