Hey fellow SDN'ers I took the 2009 DAT today under simulated testing conditions with a timer and used the computer basic calculator for QR. Here are my raw scores and their conversions using this chart that I found. The RC is only based out of a raw score of 17 (1/3 of 50) so I just took my raw score and divided it by 3 then used the chart.

BIO 36/40 = 21
GC 29/30 = 25
OC 21/30 = 18
RC 34/50 = 19ish
QR 33/40 = 21
PAT 87/90 = 26
TS 21.5
AA 20.8

Overall I think I did pretty well. There were a couple OC questions that I made stupid mistakes on and the others were ones I've never encountered before. My test is scheduled for April 3 and I feel I'm right on track. My OC bootcamp scores so far are 17, 18, 19, and 22. The RC bootcamp scores are 19, 18 with a qvault score of 22.

Of those of you that took the 2009 DAT how did you feel your scores compared to the actual exam? Also, any tips for bringing OC and RC up?

09 Bio is much much easier than the real thing (it's all fact regurgitation which is not representative anymore)

09 G-Chem and O-Chem are also easier but the scale seems to balance out your score on the real thing

RC is about the same

09 PAT is much easier

09 QR is harder

Thanks for the feedback. Having been a medical lab scientist for five years biology is actually easier for me when it's not just plain ol' fact regurgitation. I've read from others on here that the 09 DAT is a good representation of the kind of scores one could expect. I'm really pushing to get >20-21 on each section.

For me, the 09 practice test wasn't even close for me (not to discourage you).

I got 26 on bio, 30 on chem and ochem, they were way easier than the actual test in my opinion.

I got 25 on bio, 22 on gchem/ochem on the actual test.

Use them as a confident booster tho 😉
