Hey bonebreaker, good job and congrats.

Buckeye, good news dude, after your previous thread it seemed you thought you were up a creek. I can only imagine the relief after you landed your #1... Congrats.

Good job to all, including those who have yet to post more good news.

Matched Riverside County Ortho, my first choice...

According to the e-mail sent out by the AOA:

Peninsula - New York
York Memorial - Pennsylvania
Genesys - Michigan

All have one unfilled position.

So my question is: how many total applicants applied to the DO ortho spots? I'm guessing there are empty spots because the programs didn't rank enough individuals or interview enough, but that is just speculation.

I wish we could get some numbers like: ## of applicants, avg grades/board scores of matched vs non-matched applicants, avg lenght of rank list, ect.

Yeah, but Genesys isn't giving their spot out without an interview. Ridiculous.

NY filled as of today.

Is this true? Spots actually don't fill? So everyone that ranked more than likely matched? Am I reading this right? I new to this feel free to correct me.

No, you are not reading it right.

He was saying that 88offers were given for 88 spots. I promise you, more than 88 people applied for ortho.

I also matched into the Chicago program (Olympia Fields). Congrats to everyone else who matched!

Look out Riverside, your osteo cases are about to go sky high!
