BYU4you Full Member 10+ Year Member May 25, 2015 #2 Epiphysial plate is where bone growth occurs which I have read is really in the metaphysis but they went with epiphysis probably because it's at the end. Diaphysis is where secondary growth occurs as in Girth and thickness of bone not the length Upvote 0 Downvote
