I'm elated by the fact that it moves/is moving 👍 🙂 Hope they'll get to me soon (and save me from the MCAT monster)!
I got the call from Dr. Parrish this morning saying that I was accepted from the waitlist!

Why would it be by the numbers? You're ranked based on your total application and interview.

My gpa, LORs and extracurriculars were great but my mcat was bad. Do not ask how much. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy path.

I was called last week by Dr. Parrish with an acceptance to Drexel, and now I guess I am just waiting for a packet from the SOM to make its way across the US. I would like to take a look at certain sites off the SOM website to facilitate my move, but a SOM account is required. Any idea how long the process of getting more information after your acceptance takes? Is the info sent snail mail?
You'll get the acceptance packet about a week (or a couple days longer for long distance) after you hear the news. In the meantime, you can start working your way through the pre-matriculation checklist; the first item is activating your Drexel accounts.
Thanks-Do you need to accept and pay a fee before they set you up with an account?
I'm actually not sure, because I previously had an account -- no harm in trying though. 👍

I'm fairly sure acceptance letters were the only time I've seen this with them. I'd have to double check my envelopes, and, well, that would feel a little obsessive-compulsive.

You can setup your computer accounts as soon as they receive your deposit. (Your status page will say "Thank your for your deposit. Your place in the entering class is being held for you.")
It's different every year right? On sdn, last year's movement was mostly in June, but I think there's also an older thread where the bulk of the movement was in July. So there's really no accurate way to predict movement - it just depends on how many people withdraw and how many sdn-er's get pulled off and share the info..
2nd application cycle, and I wasn't even interviewed here last year, and I got the call from dr. Parrish yesterday. I am about a month into my bsn->CRNA program(also a 4-5 year commitment with icu included) but I am pretty sure I am going to accept.

anyone still waiting on the wait list? i already sent in like three letters of interest, they need to tell me already....
Still waiting as well : \ The class may be full though, so there'd only be WL movement if people withdraw or defer, and chances of either are getting slimmer since they start in like two weeks, right? 🙁

Still, I guess it's safe to assume that with something like 16 days left until orientation, the class is currently full. I'd love to also be CA --> PA though 🙂
